He was born on May 09 1993 at Tokyo, Japan. On August 12, 2004, when he was in the 5th grade (age 11), Ryosuke appeared on the variety show Ya-ya-yah, where his audition for Johnny and Associates was aired.
In July 2006, Yamada got his first role in a TV drama, Tantei Gakuen Q Special.
In April 2007, he was chosen to be a member of the temporary unit, Hey! Say! 7 which made its CD debut on August 1, when their single "Hey! Say!" was released. From July to September of that year, Tantei Gakuen Q became a TV drama series and Yamada played the same role he did in the Special that aired in 2006.
From September 24, 2007, Yamada began performing as a member of Hey! Say! JUMP, making his debut on November 14.
From January to March 2008 Yamada was in the third episode of the drama series, One-Pound Gospel, as Mukoda Katsumi, with his senior, Kazuya Kamenashi (KAT-TUN) and Hey! Say! JUMP member Yuri Chinen. On April 12 of that year Yamada was in the drama, Sensei wa erai! along with fellow Hey! Say! JUMP members Yuto Nakajima, Yuri Chinen and Daiki Arioka. He played Gunjou Hayato. On June 14, Yamada played Furuhata Ninzaburo in the drama Furuhata Chuugakusei.

In June 2009, Yamada became the leader of a temporary group NYC Boys with Yuri Chinen and Yuma Nakayama w/B.I.Shadow as supporter for the Japanese Volleyball Team for the FIVB World Grand Prix 2009. Their single "NYC/Akuma na Koi" hit the #1 position on the billboard charts.
In August 29 of that year, Yamada played Yuji Kawai in the drama Niini no koto Wasurenaide.
On October 3, 2009, he starred as the lead role in Hidarime Tantei EYE SP playing the role of Ainosuke Tanaka.
On October 17, 2009, it was announced that Hey! Say! JUMP member Yamada Ryosuke will play his first lead role in the upcoming drama series '左目探偵EYE / Hidari-me Tantei EYE [lit. 'Left-eyed Detective EYE']' to be broadcast from January 2010.[2]
On March 2, 2010, an official press release made by Johnny and Associates revealed that Yamada and Chinen will be debuting for the second time as NYC. They will be working as a member of both Hey! Say! JUMP and NYC, which is a rarity in their talent agency. Ryo Nishikido was the first such case of a Johnny's talent officially debuting in two groups (Kanjani8 and NEWS) making Yamada and Chinen the second instance of such a case.

From all dramas I've watched, I think I like Tantei Gakuen Q the most. Because I love Yamashii. I hope they make new drama together. I will definitely watch it!

*Last year during October,the media reported that Hey! Say! JUMP member, Yamada Ryosuke and Fashion Magazine "Nicola" model n actress, Nishiuchi Mariya are dating. Recently, there is news that Mariya had left Horikoshi Gakuen.
The two of them met and started dating as they act together in 2008 autumn drama "Scrap Teacher"(NTV). But in their sch, a relationship is not allowed. Which is why everyone is suspecting whether Mariya left the school. However if we look by the timing, it seems a bit too late to sack her after the relationship is reported half a year ago. Even though the school is asked about the details, the school said:" The personal info of a person should kept a secret,so we cannot answer. No matter if it is the school's student, we cannot give away the personal info." But based on the view of someone who worked inside and had handled a lot of these situation, the truth is not like this.
"If we sack the student straight after the report, it means the agency admitted the relationship. So after the scandal quietened down, then it is better to have plan about sacking the student. Besides between the change in old n new school years, the reasons of not enough attendence can be used to let the student leave the school."
After the report of the relationship, it had been suspected that Mariya's official blog is being attacked by Yamada's fans online. Some of the actions are so bad that they treatened Mariya. Because of this,only those members who joined the handphone club (not sure abt this part...) can read the updated blog. So info about Mariya personal info cannot be found from the blog online. Also Mariya leaving of school seems to be related to the two agencies.
Based on a female a mgazine reporter, Mariya agency, Vision Factory, and Yamada's agency JE are in bad relations since the past. As the boy group industry is dominated by JE, when Vision Factory faced a lot of pressure when they debut W-inds. Even though Mariya's agency decided act that there is no such news about the relationship, JE requested that the school sack Mariya. If Mariya really did left the school, it means Vision Factory submit to JE as they will not want worsen the relation with JE further more for artist like Mariya.
(Some people even say that Yamada's fans post mean things about Mariya Nisuichi. And some people say Mariya is crazy over Ryosuke but he doesn't really care)
*My mom is Japanese and she checks Japanese gossip websites often..when she went on today, she found a rumor that said AKB48 group member Shimazaki Haruka is following Yamada-kun around. She apparently wants to hook up with him or something! I was like “OH NO!” Im kind of upset now…hopefully Yamada doesn’t fall for her…:(
